About the Business
The reason I know why marketing is such a vital tool for boosting sales is because I've seen it work from both sides. I worked in sales for over 20 years, so know exactly what kind of support those teams need to make sure they hit - and ideally exceed - their targets. And it's what I think gives me the edge as a freelance PR and Marketing Manager. I have a practical and commercial understanding of what sales teams need in order to blast past the competition, because I've done it myself. But that was only the start.
I've been a freelance marketing consultant since 2007, and in that time, I've worked in a vast range of industries and sectors, from Accountancy to Retail. That breadth of experience means I have a detailed knowledge of B2B, B2C, and very occasionally, B&Q. If I need to pick up some lightbulbs. Most of my clients don't need advice about homeware though, so instead I specialise in developing and implementing marketing strategies that really get you noticed.
